General Program Information

THE
2013
SCHEDULE
These are the starting
dates for our 10 weeks season.

WE ARE OPEN ON JULY 4th
You can start any week, but the second
week must be consecutive. All weeks are
subject to availability, so please have back
up weeks in mind.

Silton Swim School is a unique program for
children. Swimming instruction is the primary activity.
Each student spends approximately one and one half hours in the
heated pool every three hour session, in addition to dry land
instruction and planned activities.

The average class size
about ten to twelve children with two certified instructors.

The average range in
age is 3 (must be toilet trained) to 13 years for the
basic swimming courses.

OUR SECOND POOL IS… Exclusively for 3 & 4 year old classes
with supervised sandbox playtime between each lesson.

Competitive
instruction and training are available for the more advanced
student.

Full day enrollment can
be arranged. We have a supervised lunch hour.

Every Saturday morning parents, relatives and
friends are invited and encouraged to attend the demonstration
program. Morning students 10 am, afternoon students at 10:30 am.
Silton Swim School’s facilities will be open late in May for
inspection and any questions about our programs.

No
uniform is required. Children should arrive in a bathing suit
and should bring a towel. A
change of clothes is not necessary. Please mark all clothes and towels for easy identification.

Each student is issued a Silton
T-shirt. Enrollment fee covers cost.

We do not confirm enrollment by mail
or phone. If you do not hear to the contrary your
contract is accepted and binding when received. Call if
you wish to double check.
Organized Field Activities
In addition to our regular swimming program, our students
ages 5-13 are afforded the opportunity to participate in
organized physical activities under the directorship of
certified physical education teachers in the time periods
between lessons. Our Physical Education Director and staff conduct and supervise the activities.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS

IF LESSONS ARE CANCELLED DUE TO
INCLEMENT WEATHER, PLEASE NOTE, THAT THERE IS ONE RAIN
DAY BUILT INTO EACH 2-WEEK SESSION. IF A SECOND INCLEMENT
WEATHER DAY OCCURS, WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO MAKE UP THAT DAY.
You will need to call the school or check
our website for cancellations. Due to the amount of students we
do not call.

Our parking lot...
PLEASE
BE PATIENT. We try
to get everyone in and out in a SAFE and timely fashion,
in that order. SAFETY is our first priority. We ask that
you listen to the directions of our parking attendants, it is
imperative for your child's safety and the safety of the
rest of our students.
*NO student may be
dropped off in our parking lot. ALL students must be accompanied
by an adult to his/her respective teacher.
Due to excessive requests by parents to have
their children & friends in the same class, we can only try to
accommodate you up to a two friend request. However, no request will be guaranteed. (see
policy #3)
